Bitter Sweet TimeThere is no time like the present  Keep one foot in the here and now  While the other dangles freely – wind beneath  One hand waves farewell to new comers  
The other tips the head waiter with a smirk  Wooden nickels hold a value in this Land of Oz  Like souvenirs at a carnival - children smile  And even though this ghost ship is half empty    Like the champagne glass resting peacefully - aura of decadence  The heart cannot let go of dreams and visions    Plans left incomplete, anniversaries come and go

Women of The SeaThe wind rages from the West  
across the main land filling sails  
sending the day from point to point  
tack,  
mainsail luff,  
“…come about…”  
a thought  
that never makes its way  
from brain wave  
to verbal vibration -  
all hands on deck  
a solo act  
when solitude is the destination  of least resistance  peace rises between layers  
of wind and cloud

It has been a while since I've been on DA...have lots to read and catch up on.

Today I close on a new house...I bought a house on the beach! Yup, sand in my kitchen :)
It's not right on the beach, but I can walk there...I'm very excited...always wanted my own "shack on the shore"

It's also my anniversary...so it is a bitter sweet day - Jerry and I were looking for a house before he got sick, as exciting as it is, the flip side is tearful and full of wonderful memories - I am thankful to have had the time with him...as short as it was.

To new beginnings!
